Owner, Linda Cruise, is available for a wide range of PR and multimedia-related endeavors, whether it's teaching the fine art and craft of creative writing, in all its genre forms—from a technical/craft perspective or purely imaginative/artistic one (and everything in between)—editing, writing, graphic-design/photography projects, research, publicity/promotional-related projects, or event planning.
 
Some typical services offered through
Nor'easter Multimedia include, but are not limited to, the following:

 
 
WRITING

  •    Writer-for-Hire:  Article and research-supported writing (e.g., historical/biographical/technical/scientific/trade-related); ghostwriting (e.g., autobiography/memoir); small-business and corporate copywriting (e.g., newsletters and trade/procedural manuals); educational materials, grant-writing, and book proposals; original screenwriting/ screenplay adaptations; speech writing; arts/book reviews; histories (e.g., family, corporation, institution/organization/agency, and city/town); business writing (e.g., résumé and Curriculum Vitae).
  •     Website Content:  Produce/assist in the content writing and creative development of web material, including graphic design/layout.
  •     Advertising Copy/Marketing/Public Relations:  Produce/ assist in content creation for all product/service literature; desktop publishing (e.g., brochures, calendars, fliers, or newsletters); event promotions and publicity; press kits and news releases.

 

 

EDITING

  •      Editor-for-Hire:  Comprehensive edit and critique of any text material (e.g., commercial, literary, technical, memoir).
  •     Copyediting:  Proofread text content of all books, articles, stories, research papers/theses/dissertations, marketing material, etc.
  •     Website Material:  Edit website content and graphic design/ layout.
  •     Advertising/Marketing/Public Relations:  Edit content for all forms of copy, such as used in advertising, product/service-information literature, event promotion, and publicity.
  •     Manuscript Submissions:  Edit submission material for literary agents and editors (e.g., book proposals, query letters, and completed manuscripts/sample chapters).

 

 

MULTIMEDIA

  •     Photographer-for-Hire:  Provide original or stock photos and other visual-arts related material, for personal, publishing, and/or small-business/corporate/institution/non- profits/government agency use; digital or print formats.  See our Visual Arts page for a sampling of what we can do. 
                       
  •     Graphic Design:  Image creation and design (e.g., manipulation and layout); digital or print formats; create logo, letterhead, business-card, and masthead designs.
  •     Consultation:  Provide client with visual-arts expertise, in regard to all multimedia formats, including creating PowerPoint presentations and various related desktop-publishing materials.
  •     Advertising/Marketing/Public Relations:  Provide graphics and desktop-publishing services, relating to all forms of business or event promotion, publicity, and product/service-information literature (e.g., brochures, fliers, newsletters, manuals, and annual reports).

 
INSTRUCTION
  •     In-School Author Visits:  School-wide assembly and/or individual classroom/team/grade on any creative-writing topic, offered in various formats, using age-appropriate information and activities.

                   
 
  •     Mini-Courses/Craft Lectures/Presentations:  All writing-related topics, various formats. Libraries receive a 20% discount.
  •     Individual Tutoring/Mentoring:  All levels, offered online or on the premises (e.g., school or home).
  •     Workshop/Small-Group Facilitator:  In-person or online; each group's members are placed in the appropriate level (Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced), based on a prerequisite writing sample.
 

 

PROMOTION/PUBLIC RELATIONS/EVENT PLANNING
  •    Promotion/Public Relations:  Provide graphics and desktop-publishing services, relating to all forms of business or event promotion, publicity, and product/service-information literature (e.g., brochures, fliers, newsletters, manuals, and annual reports).
  •    Event Planning:  Assist with or manage all logistics associated with organized events, large or small. Experienced planner of many large-scaled events, including statewide and national conferences, will help setting up a task-manager, coordinate publicity (e.g., brochures, fliers, event-registration materials, and press releases), manage databases in conjunction with event(s), and coordination of all logistics, including booking venues and presenters/speakers.


 

RESEARCH
  •    Researcher-for-Hire:  Conduct original research (e.g., historical, biographical, or genealogical) for personal or institutional needs, particularly if it is related to publishing projects.
  •    Market Researcher:  Provide targeted market information, related to a client's publishing needs, in hopes of finding a well-matched agent or editor/publisher.
                    
 
R A T E S


Nor'easter Multimedia prides itself on offering affordable, competitive pricing for all its top-quality services, with 100% guaranteed satisfaction. Depending on the nature of a project and its labor-intensive needs, payment is calculated on a per-hour, per-page, per-item, or flat-project basis. Most projects, typically, fall within a $50-$65 per hour price-range. In-school author visits cost approximately $50-$100, depending on how much programming is needed and how far the commute is. Nor'easter Multimedia offers libraries a special 20% discount; and, within her local area, Linda Cruise offers a 10% discount to her fellow Richmond Area Business Association members.


At this time,
Nor'easter Multimedia is only accepting checks or cash payment for its services.  It negotiates a contract with each client and then processes an invoice.  For longer-termed projects, half of the estimated fee is expected at the outset of work, with the remainder of all owed fees being paid at the conclusion of the project.  Please  contact us directly with any questions you may have. Nor'easter Multimedia is always willing to give you a free price-quote as part of an initial, complimentary consultation.
